Projects: About

CIRCUIT LIVE

Supported by Arts Council England, this project was the last to gain the coveted Inspired by London 2012 mark from the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. We led one of five London boroughs to inspire young people to utilising local libraries, coordinating writing workshops with popular lyricists and spoken word artists. A final performance took place at and The British Library and was featured in the Evening Standard. The London-wide project established itself as a model of best practice for the effective engagement of young people, and highlighted public libraries as positive resources

LOVE LETTER

Supported by Arts Council England, we produced this exciting project for young African and Caribbean writers in Lambeth to create an artwork made up of odes about their neighbourhoods. The artwork hangs in Brixton Tate Library and marks the anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade act, 1807. The project featured in the South London Press and Voice Newspaper, and we worked closely with Brixton Tate Library in establishing its Arts Award Centre status enabling it to deliver accredited courses for local young people.

TELL TALE

Supported by Arts Council England, this innovative series of creative projects aimed to improve literacy among young people during National Storytelling Week and offered them an Arts Award accreditation. We project managed workshops and a finale event with Lambeth based spoken word collective Poetry Luv, with performances at Tate Britain from leading spoken word artists George The Poet and Dean Atta. The project was featured on MTV News and Huffington Post
